Christ in Yom Kippur

Today is my dad's birthday. He was born on Yom Kippur, and
today, his birthday falls again on that date, which doesn't
always correspond with our calendar.

I believe Christ was born on this day, as well. Here's why:

What would compel a nine month pregnant teenager to
endure an arduous and dangerous trek from North israel
to the Southern city of Bethlehem? Not merely a census.

I believe the census was timed to correspond to the holiest
day of the year, a day when the scattered tribes would be
most willing to travel home to their tribal city to reunite
with relatives, and honor their heritage.

Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year, and it is also
the Day of Atonement, as well as the New Year.

On this day, after fasting and repentence, God is
supposed to forgive our past sins, and open up a
clean page in the Book of Life, so we will sin no
more.

This describes Christ. He is the LAMB of God, and
by HIS sacrifice of blood, our sins are removed, and
we are given a new page in the Book.

No blood of lambs, rams, goats, bulls or pigeons
can wash our sins clean, but, the Lamb of God,
who is our Savior, did just that.

When Mary went into labor, and gave birth,
many already believed she was producing the
Messiah. Why is that?

Mary was the ancestor of King David, and Joseph
the heir to Solomon. Even though Joseph was not
Christ's biological father, legally, he inherited his
father's claim to the throne, if their were one, that
is.

But, most importantly, Christ was recognized by
the most pious of the Temple Jews because they
were praying and waiting for that Son of David,
the Messiah, and on that Yom Kippur, the
miracle of his birth, coincided with their religion.
He would take away their sins. He was the one.

Anyway, that's my story, and I'm sticking with
it~!

Father God, in the Name of Jesus, Y'shua
HaMaschiach, I praise you and humbly
accept the grace which permits me to be
acceptable in YOUR HOLY PRESENCE.

By your gift of Christ to us, our sins are not
accounted to us, and may all those who call
on you not be ashamed, but, continue on the
path of righteousness, being beacons of light
in the increasing darkness.

Father, I think the final Antichrist is now
in power, and yet, I will not fear, for you
are much more powerful, as the sky is to
the mud of the earth. I will not fear, for you
are with us, and in us, through the Holy Spirit.

I ask that you strengthen the weak knees, and
wavering hearts, giving all of us the vision to
recognize the truth, and resist evil. Please do not
abandon any of us who call ourselves by your
name.

Thank YOU for this day of remembrance, and
that Jesus Christ is our Atonement and propitiation.
Thank YOU for all your miracles and blessings.

I adore you with all my heart and soul, and
strength. I ADORE YOU LORD~

I am so in love that I get light-headed. When
will you come Lord? Do not wait very long.
The daughter's of Jerusalem may chide
us, but, we are your bride, waiting for
your footsteps upon the hills. Do not
wait much longer.

I am so excited to see the signs of your
approaching kingdom!!!!

How could any one resist you?

My sweet and HOLY Lord, how do I
even address you, or how can I be
so blessed to know you? You are my
everything. NOTHING else matters
sometimes. I only want to spend
eternity in your presence worshipping
you every last minute of every day for
all eternity. I ADORE YOU!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year~
